A Sick Day For Amos McGee

You know when I find a book Sweet E likes, I’m passing that badboy along to you guys.

This book was read over the phone, without the benefit of video, and E never made a sound as the story progressed.  When I was finished, he had remembered the animals and Amos.  I don’t know of a better recommendation!

BONUS: A Sick Day For Amos won a Caldecott Medal.

Book Description:

Friends come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. In Amos McGee’s case, all sorts of species, too! Every day he spends a little bit of time with each of his friends at the zoo, running races with the tortoise, keeping the shy penguin company, and even reading bedtime stories to the owl. But when Amos is too sick to make it to the zoo, his animal friends decide it’s time they returned the favor.

 Age Range: 2 – 6 years

Grade Level: Preschool – 1

A lovely book that your lovely littles will love.

Happy Reading, Y’all!
