Dare To Dream

As an elder in society…AM SO!…I think it behooves me to learn new things about the world around me, to challenge myself, even if that means I’m uncomfortable. Coding makes me uncomfortable.

Yes, the kind of coding used for computers, or blog design, or creating apps. It’s crazy to me that I should try and learn such a BIG thing such as coding at this stage in my game, but it’s been on my mind for almost two years now, lurking. Just as I had almost convinced myself not to take such a big bite from life, I stumbled upon this:

Well hello, serendipity.

The lesson is plain: If I want to learn how to code, it will be a useful skill…no matter how old I am.

Plus, if I can’t take my own advice to challenge myself, to stretch and grow, to do the hard thing, why would anyone (Sweet E) dare to listen when I offer the same?

Coding is so scary! But the tiniest thing you learn is so much fun.

As long as this old brain is still functioning I will try to keep learning :-) Thanks for sharing this at the party this week! I am featuring it on my Facebook page as well as pinning it on my You're Gonna Love It board on Pinterest!

Yes I am trying to learn but every time I look at someone else's blog it looks so fantastic and I realise I am such an amateur its an embarrassment and I am losing heart. BUT I will persevere and I hope someone out there will tell me when I am doing something wrong.

DON'T LOSE HEART! Just keep on learning, even if it's something seemingly small, because that will serve as another brick in your house of knowledge.
