Right at this very moment I know you could use a pick-me-up (yes, even, especially, if it’s 7am) and this post certainly won’t help. BUT, you can poke them down your piehole lickety-split with this super easy recipe.
I give you: Brownie Chunk Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting.
Oh my…
Confession #1: I used a box of super moist white cake mix and a boxed brownie mix.
Confession #2: The linked brownie mix is a staple at my usually homemade house. They work like a charm in a pinch and they get the best raves. (should I be insulted?!)

I know, I know! So Sandra Lee of me. AGAIN! What? Did I have a fever and baked delirious?
Nope, just short of time.
While they are good enough to eat, next time I will go homemade all the way.
Slutty Brownies beware.

That’s amazing! Folks loooove their cupcakes…and brownie chunks…and cream cheese frosting!
These look wonderful, however, I’m unable to get the recipe. I’ve tried your site, plus the Mrs. site and still am unable to get it. Can you please help me?
I used a cake mix for the cupcakes and a brownie mix for the brownies. Make the brownies first, then coarsely chop or pull apart and ix in the cupcake batter. So easy!
Hi, I’d LOVE to try these, but can’t find the link to the actual recipe anywhere in the text & clicking on the picture doesn’t help either. Could you check to see if the link was disabled or reprint the recipe text here in the comments? Or are we just supposed to crumble up some amount of brownies and dump ’em in a cake mix & cook as box says?
Hi Rose! I used a box of cake mix for the cupcakes and also made a brownie mix, which I then cooled and crumbled (then added to cake mix before spooning into cupcake papers). Totally use as much of the cooled brownies as you can stand! Bake per cake box instructions, but keep an eye on them. Good Luck!
Thanks so much! I wondered if it was a ‘wing it’ kind of recipe…..I can do that!
Wing it, momma! You can NOT mess this one up!
