If you’re a regular reader, you know that I wrote about making homemade hummus last week. I also linked the Tahini I use in my recipe, but I forgot to tell you about it.
What the heck is it?
Tahini is hulled and toasted sesame seeds that have been ground into a paste. It is used in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking.
Why should you care?
If you ever want to make your own hummus, Tahini is the delicious key-ingredient.
You can make it yourself (here’s a great recipe) or you can buy it already prepared, like the kind I use:
