If you’re a regular reader, you know that I wrote about making homemade hummus last week. I also linked the Tahini I use in my recipe, but I forgot to tell you about it.
What the heck is it?
Tahini is hulled and toasted sesame seeds that have been ground into a paste. It is used in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking.
Why should you care?
If you ever want to make your own hummus, Tahini is the delicious key-ingredient.
You can make it yourself (here’s a great recipe) or you can buy it already prepared, like the kind I use:
Tahini Sesame Sauce – 16 Ounce
Ziyad Brothers Importing is the standard for high quality, great tasting and healthy Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods. Ziyad Brothers offers more than 1,600 great tasting, high quality products to consumers.
Wondering what other recipes you could try, using your jar of Tahini?
Yes, to all of it!
Are you game? You know I wouldn’t lead you astray.
