Captain Crunch Bars made with Oops All Berries!

If you loved Cap’n Crunch growing up, you’re going to love Captain Crunch Bars, made with Oops All Berries!

It’s a bonus that your kids will love them too!

They’re fruity, and colorful, and marshmallowy sticky!oops all berries marshmallow treat

Crunch berry cereal is the perfect medium for bars.

These bars pair well with add-ins, like chocolate chips and mini-marshmallows! (I mean, if you swipe the marshmallows from the box of Lucky Charms on the fridge, be quick – be sneaky!)

It’s an addiction; I can’t stop playing around with the marshmallow treats, y’all!

Eh – who’s complaining? Not me! Not my testers!

(when you run a website that has recipes – you need testers!)

Look at that delicious pan o’madness:

Captain Crunch Bars or Cap’n Crunch Bars?

See? I saw you side-eyeing the name, wondering if I had spelled it wrong.

Nah.

The cereal is officially called Cap’n Crunch and these bars are just a variation on that name.

Same great cereal. Same great taste.

These crunch berry snack bars are perfect for the any snacking occasion.

The colors are very holiday-y, very fall-y, very eat-em-whenever-you-want-y.

Which is what I was going for (all of the above): yes, for the holiday kid’s table (let’s be honest – the adult’s table too) – yes, for the fall fun – yes, for whenever you are craving Oops! All Berries.

Can’t beat a good Cap’n Crunch bender. Trust me on this.

Wanna try them?

Yes, please:

Is this Crunch Berry elevated?!

People! I laughed when I saw the pics (yes, I took them, but they still surprised me).

I swear, they almost look elegant in these pics.

The Cap’n has his pinky out, yo!

Am I right?

Do you have a sweet tooth?

These badboys differ from regular Rice Krispie treats in that they are SUPER SWEET.

They are perfect for your biggest sweet-toothers. (sweet-toothers – did I just make up a word?!)

If your tooth is less sweet, but you still appreciate cereal bars every now and again, try the ones made with Cheerios.

Of all the marshmallow treats I have made, I rank them thusly:

  1.  Cheerios
  2.  Froot Loops
  3.  Cap’n Crunch
  4.  Regular Rice Krispies

You can see from the list, that I like a little yin-yang with my treats: Something sweet – something less sweet.

Need a little extra with your marshmallow krispie?

Add in what ya love!

Gummy bears (Haribo is my go-to gummies!), mini-marshmallows, chopped up candy bars, beef jerky (KIDDING! or am I?!) – anything goes!

The one thing I did love was the addition of the chocolate chips ( I use Guittard – nom!) melted in and the minis added once in the pan.

Garry loved them, with their melted smooth chocolate chips and their Cap’n Crunch cereal crunchy c-r-u-n-c-h.

I sense one. more. recipe. forthcoming.

Melty chocolate makes everythang better.

How to store your Captain Crunch treats:

Hahahahahahahahaha! What? You’ll have some leftover?!

Fine, let’s assume that’s true…

~ Simply cover with plastic wrap or tight fitting pan lid for a few days on the counter.

~ To freeze: Wrap each individual bar in plastic wrap before slipping into a freezer bag. Keep no longer than a month for best taste.

~ To thaw: pull out bar/s and let thaw on counter top. Unwrap and EAT!

Kids will love their favorite cereal made into dessert.

I’m always looking for recipes that Sweet E can help me with in the kitchen.

While I handle the hot stuff, he handles the rest.

I mean what kiddo won’t love buttering up their hands to press crunchberry cereal bars into a pan, then eating the remnants off their fingers!

That’s enough droolin’; let’s get to makin’!
